We at Best Friends Kayak know and understand that everyone wanting to kayak is special. We offer a variety of scheduled runs that can accommodate different skill levels that can be guided or unguided. Or, you can call ahead and schedule a custom trip if you have a favorite body of water that you want to kayak on. Because the possibilities are endless and we are flexible to suit your specific needs, we can not list pricing for all situations. Please call ahead for trips outside of our normal scheduled runs.

The Peshtigo River

Johnson to Sandstone: Daily

Shuttle time: Drop Off Pick Up

10:00 am 4:00 pm

$50/person, arrive at BFK at 9:00 am to make the 10:00 am shuttle, runs once per day. Trip is 9 miles with class I and II rapids. 6 hour water time.

Sandstone to Hwy. 141: Daily

Shuttle times: Drop Off Pick Up

8:00 am 11:00 am

11:30 am 2:30 pm

3:00 pm 6:00 pm

$30/person, arrive at BFK 30 minutes before shuttle time. Trip is 8 miles with mostly flat water, some class I. 3 hour water time.

Any and all river trips will include kayak of choice, P.F.D., paddle, and helmet.

Left Foot Lake: Daily

Shuttle time: Drop Off Pick Up

9:00 am 12:00 pm

12:30 pm 3:30 pm

4:00 pm 7:00 pm

$30/person, arrive at BFK 30 minutes before shuttle time. Enjoy kayaking on quiet Left Foot Lake and the sand swimming beach for 3 hours per trip.

Any and all lake trips will include kayak of choice, P.F.D., and paddle.

Guided River Tours

Half Day (4 hours water time): $80.00/person

Full Day (8 hours water time): $140.00/person

We offer guided kayak tours for N.E. Wisconsin Rivers and you must call ahead to schedule. Prices will include all necessary equipment, instruction, and a shore lunch for the full day. The specific run will be determined by individual skill level and water levels. The guided tours may involve runs that have up to class III rapids. If you have a river in mind that you would like to kayak and are not sure if you are experienced enough to run it, give me a call. *Listed prices are for Friday - Sunday and Holidays. A 10% discount will be applied for Monday - Thursday. Call ahead for group, family, and other discounts.
*Because Mother Nature is unpredictable and river levels are constantly fluctuating, some runs may not be available or portaging may be required.

*Everyone wanting to kayak should dress appropriately. This includes proper clothing for cold water or chilly weather for spring and fall kayaking; nylon or lightweight pants (no jeans), thermal shirt and wool/synthetic socks. Good shoes or sandals, with a heal strap (no flip flops), should be worn no matter what time of year.
